Aba Diop is a master percussionist, composer, and arranger in an unbroken ancestral line of Senegalese griots: the cultural lineage-holders foundational to African societies.
He brings the intact lifeways from thousands of years into the TikTok era, embodying the deep roots of all modern music whether in a traditional sabar ensemble or sharing international stages with other world-class performers like Yo-Yo Ma, Yussef Dayes, John Medeski, and Billy Martin.
